Elefount
A portable water system for cars. How do you make it smarter?
The challenge
In Costa Rica, surfers and beachgoers had a habit of mounting PVC pipes on their cars to rinse off after the beach. Simple. Cheap. The problem was water sitting in those pipes under the sun would reach 40°C, and there was no way to use it as drinking water either.
The thinking
This wasn’t a design brief. It was a raw problem handed over by investors who saw an opportunity. The job was to start from zero, understand the behavior, find the real pain points, and develop a product concept that solved them without killing the simplicity that made the original habit work.
The work
A concept product system addressing both the temperature problem and the drinking water opportunity, developed from first principles using industrial design engineering thinking. From problem to prototype concept, no brief required.
